Automotive Parts Design
The first and most fundamental process that Northern Industrial Manufacturing products go through is the stamping process. Northern Industrial utilizes a variety of different press sizes from 60 tons to 175 tons. While we can stamp steel of all types, sizes and shapes our primary stamping range specifications are:
- Size: Up to 6″ (152.4 mm)
- Material: SAE 1008 Through SAE 1095
- Shape: Single Layer (Flat)
- Thickness Range: 0.016″ (0.4mm) to 0.200″ (5.0 mm)
- Thickness Tolerance: +/-0.0004 inches (0.010 mm)
- ID/OD Tolerance: +/- 0.004″ (0.1 mm)
- Compound Master Dies
- Flatness : 0.001 inches (0.025 mm)
- Parallelism: 0 .001 inches (0.025 mm)
- Surface Finish: 0.25 Micro Meter (10 micro inches)
- Volume: Greater Than 10,000 Annually
